The beginning of a new year means goals, resolutions, new habits, new look maybe?
Well let’s start one thing at a time here. My health habits have been, well, less than average for quite some time now. Not exercising, not drinking enough water, eating total garbage, not taking care of my skin…. and it’s catching up to me. I can see the effects. Even worse I can feel the effects, and I hate it. So instead of dreading over what I haven’t done in the past to prevent this, I’m taking control now and saying enough is enough. So let’s dig into 5 healthy habits I’m living for in 2019.
Eat less junk.
I would say I’m a fan of junk food. Anything that’s easy and filling, sign me up. I never have taken the time to meal plan so that my family and I eat healthy, so quick and easy has been our jam.
Not anymore. I’ve actually taken the time to research and find healthy recipes that my family will like and am slowly starting to nix out the junk. Except Chick-Fil-A. That’s an absolute non-negotiable.
I want abs. Like, REALLY bad. I’m skinny, but fat, ya know? No muscle tone anywhere, except my left arm from carrying Legend around. So my goal this year is get some form of abs. I don’t need a full blown 6 pack, just a little cut here and there would make me happy.
Take Care of My Skin
Having two kids has aged me. There, I said it. I have a few wrinkles and I’m only 26. I’ve gotten botox a few times but really need to keep up with it. It may sound ridiculous but I really do need it. In addition to botox, finding skin care that works with my skin is very important. I’ve been using products from The Ordinary, and so far so good. I’ll post a follow up review after about a month of using them.
Also, I have been dealing with acne for almost 3 years now. I’ve never had to worry about it my whole life, then one day it just decided to make a grand entrance, and it sure did make a GRAND entrance. And I’ve been learning how to deal with it ever since. Well, everything I have tried hasn’t worked. Birth control, antibiotics, creams, more pills…. nothing works. So i’m taking matters into my own hands and am going to try to heal this problem from the inside. I’ve started taking probiotics, fish oil, and a prescription androgen blocker to start. Also hoping eating healthy will make a difference as well.
