THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SPECTRUM: Sleeping Naked
Okay, now that we’ve gone over the power and benefits of wearing clothes I want to be unbiased as can be and tell you about the benefits of NOT wearing clothes (aka pajamas).
The UK Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/09/04/benefits-of-sleeping-naked_n_5757474.html) did an article on the benefits of sleeping naked and here’s what they said.
Sleeping naked releases a “feel-good” hormone called oxytocin, it’s more enhanced during skin-to-skin contact. So have you ever wondered why you like putting your feet up against your partners legs throughout the night? Laying your legs over top of theirs? Putting your arm around them? And just skin-to-skin contact in general? It’s because it releases the feel-good hormone oxytocin. According to the article, 11 Reasons Why You Should Consider Sleeping Naked, oxytocin helps reduce stress, depression, blood pressure, and intestinal inflammation. The article also says that sleeping naked keeps your body cooler which allows the regulation of anti-aging hormones and melatonin. Additionally, your circulation improves, you reduce body acne due to breathability, women reduce chances of yeast infection, men increase their fertility, and sleeping naked will boost confidence and self-esteem as you will see your body more often naked—which results in self-acceptance and you loving yourself for who you truly are.
There you have it, the power of sleeping naked versus pajamas. You choose which is right for you and what makes you feel your best. Everyone is different and of course everyone has their own opinions and reasons for doing things differently than others, and that is perfectly more than okay. Just do what makes you feel your absolute best!
